Text to video with AI
Write a sentence and let the AI turn that scene into video, with its motion, light and sound. This guide covers the parts of a good video prompt, choosing an engine and 10 ready examples.
10 ready-to-use prompts · Start with 20 welcome credits
Text to video is the core job of AI video engines: they read your description and generate the scene from scratch. Some tools turn text into video by matching it with stock footage and slides; the engines in Ryna Video Studio generate new footage with its own camera, light and often sound. That's why the result depends on how visual your text is.
A good video prompt reads like a director's note: subject, action, setting, light, camera and sound. Writing “a red sports car driving on wet asphalt at night” instead of “a car” reduces what the model has to guess. Choosing the camera move and style as presets, rather than writing them into the text, also makes results more consistent.
If you're not sure what to write, Ryna Director helps: describe what you want in a few sentences and it drafts a plan and applies it to the studio settings. To go from a single clip to a longer story, Story & Film breaks an idea into scenes.
Text to video examples
Each card is a different genre: documentary, action, suspense, nature, animation, macro. “Open in studio” brings the text, engine and camera pre-selected; edit the text to build your own scene.

Anatomy of a good video prompt
Write in this order: 1) the subject and how it looks (“an old fisherman in a red scarf”), 2) the action (“casts his net into the sea”), 3) place and time (“a small harbor on a misty morning”), 4) light and atmosphere (“cold blue light, light fog”), 5) sound (“waves and seagulls”). Add the camera move and style as presets, not in the text.
Keep one main action per clip. Chains like “runs, then gets in a car, then drives into the city” fall apart in a few seconds of video; generate each action as its own scene and merge them. Don't ask for text or logos, because models garble lettering.
Prompt language and choosing an engine
You can write prompts in your own language; presets and style information are added to your prompt in a form the model understands. Describing a setting concretely, such as a simit seller, a bazaar or a ferry, noticeably improves local scenes.
Veo 3.1 is a good start for realism and sound, Seedance 2.5 for long single takes, Kling 3 for fast motion and physics, and Seedance 2.0 Fast, Wan 3 and Hailuo 3 Max for cheap tests. If you're unsure, generate the same prompt on two engines at once with Compare engines.
From text to longer video
A single generation runs from a few seconds up to 30 seconds. For longer videos, generate scenes one by one and merge them, continue a clip from its last frame with Extend video, or use Story & Film to get a shot list and a multi-scene film from an idea. Voice-over, music and subtitles are added with the studio's finishing tools.
Which engine for what
Per-second credits come from the catalog; the studio shows the exact amount before you generate.

Step by step
- 1
Write the scene
Describe the subject, action, setting, light and sound in a sentence or two. If you're unsure, tell Ryna Director what you want.
- 2
Add camera and style
Pick the camera move and style from presets; up to three camera moves can be chained.
- 3
Choose engine, duration and ratio
The credit estimate appears instantly. Make the first try short and at low resolution.
- 4
Generate and compare
The video is ready in a few minutes. If it isn't what you expected, change one word or try another engine.
- 5
Extend, merge, finish
Extend the clip you like or merge it with other scenes; add music, voice-over and subtitles.
Is it free?
New accounts get 20 welcome credits. They are valid for 90 days, videos made with them are watermarked, and they work only on the economy engines: Wan 3, Seedance Mini, Seedance Fast, Veo 3.1 Lite, Hailuo 3 Max. 3 of the prompts on this page fit within the welcome credits (the cheapest is ≈10 credits). For watermark-free videos and commercial use you buy a credit pack: no subscription, and purchased credits stay valid for 365 days.
Tips
- Make adjectives concrete: “morning sun in a misty valley” instead of “a beautiful landscape”.
- Write one main action per clip; split chains into separate scenes.
- Describe the sound too: audio engines generate the sounds you write.
- Pick the camera move as a preset instead of writing it into the text.
- Try the same prompt on two engines; you'll get different interpretations.
- Submit a result you like to the gallery; your prompt becomes an example for others.
Real people and misleading content
Don't generate the likeness of real, well-known people from text, and don't present an AI video as footage of a real event. Realistic videos about news, crises or politics can mislead; platforms require AI labels for this kind of content.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I turn text into video?
- Open Video Studio, write the scene in a sentence or two, pick camera and style presets, set the engine and duration, and generate. The video is ready in a few minutes; tap any example on this page and the settings come pre-filled.
- Is there a free text to video AI?
- The welcome credits for new accounts cover short videos on the economy engines; those videos are watermarked. Examples on this page that fit the welcome credits are marked. After that it's credit packs, with no subscription.
- Can I write prompts in languages other than English?
- Yes, you can write the prompt in your own language. Describing local places and details concretely improves results.
- How is this different from tools that make videos from stock footage?
- Stock-based tools match your text with existing clips and slides. These engines generate the scene from scratch, so the subject, setting and camera move you write are shot as if for that video.
- How do I write a video prompt?
- Write the subject, action, setting, light and sound in that order, and pick the camera move and style as presets. Keep one main action per clip and don't ask for text or logos.
- How long can a text to video clip be?
- It depends on the engine: most generate 4–15 seconds, and Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3 go up to 30 seconds. Longer videos are made by merging scenes or with Extend video.
- Can I turn a long script or article into a video?
- Story & Film drafts a shot list from an idea or a short story and turns the scenes into a film. Rather than converting a long article in one go, splitting its key moments into scenes gives better results.
- Which engine makes the best text to video?
- There's no single best: Veo 3.1 leads on realism and sound, Seedance 2.5 on long takes and Kling 3 on motion. Use Compare engines to try the same text on several engines.
