AI cat video generator

From a startled kitchen cat to an astronaut cat, from a street cat to a photo of your own cat: create one of the most watched video formats in minutes. The 10 prompts below open the studio with sound, aspect ratio and camera already set.

10 ready-to-use prompts · Start with 20 welcome credits

Cat videos are the internet's oldest and still most powerful format, and AI has given them a new dimension. Cats in spacesuits, cats baking pastries and cats scratching records at a DJ booth pull millions of views on TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Most of these videos are short, vertical and have sound, and they are built around a joke, a moment of surprise or an impossible situation.

There are two ways to make an AI cat video. The first is generating it entirely from text: you describe the cat's color, the place and the funny moment. The second is starting from a photo of your own cat: the photo becomes the first frame and you ask for a small movement. The first offers unlimited imagination, the second a familiar face; followers love recognizing a real cat.

The audio engines in Ryna Video Studio generate meows, purring and ambient sound together with the picture. Economy engines are enough for short clips, and most prompts on this page fit within the welcome credits.

How to structure a funny cat video

The formula for a funny cat video is simple: a familiar place, an unexpected moment and a short reaction. A spoon falls, a box is too small, a bird calls outside. In the prompt, write the setting first, then the event, then the cat's reaction. Camera choices like a snap zoom or a static phone shot make the moment feel like a real home video.

Five to eight seconds is ideal for this format; the joke falls apart in a long clip. Generate the same moment two or three times and keep the funniest reaction, then merge a few clips into a 15–20 second compilation. Merging is free.

Animated and fantasy cat videos

For impossible scenes like an astronaut, chef or DJ cat, stylized 3D animation, anime or claymation styles work well; in photorealistic footage the model can struggle with a cat's anatomy. When the cat acts like a person, keep the action simple: one action, one place.

If you want the same cat character across several videos, create a consistent character with the studio's character feature. That way you can start a series and tell a different adventure with the same cat in each episode.

A video from a photo of your own cat

Animating your cat's photo gives the most personal result. Pick a well-lit photo where the face is clearly visible and ask for small movements: turning the head, twitching the ears, blinking, swishing the tail. With big movements like jumping or running, the model has to invent the parts of the cat it cannot see, and your cat may turn into a different cat.

For other kinds of photos, such as landscapes, portraits and drawings, there is a separate photo to video guide.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Pick the idea

A funny moment, a calm home scene or a fantasy adventure. Open a prompt from the library or write your own: the cat's color, the place, the event and the reaction.

  2. 2

    Start vertical and short

Choose 9:16 and 5–8 seconds for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Run the first try at 480p and regenerate the one you like at a higher resolution.

  3. 3

    Turn the sound on

Meowing, purring, a falling spoon or birdsong bring the video to life. Pick an audio engine and describe the sound in the prompt.

  4. 4

    Pick the best reaction

Generate the same prompt two or three times; the AI produces a different reaction each time. Keep the funniest one.

  5. 5

    Merge and share

Merge the clips, add music and use the AI label when you post. Videos made with purchased credits are watermark-free.

Is it free?

New accounts get 20 welcome credits. They are valid for 90 days, videos made with them are watermarked, and they work only on the economy engines: Wan 3, Seedance Mini, Seedance Fast, Veo 3.1 Lite, Hailuo 3 Max. 6 of the prompts on this page fit within the welcome credits (the cheapest is ≈10 credits). For watermark-free videos and commercial use you buy a credit pack: no subscription, and purchased credits stay valid for 365 days.

Tips

  • Name the color and breed clearly: “orange tabby”, “long-haired white Turkish Van”.
  • Tell one joke per video; several events break the cat.
  • Paws and whiskers look good in close-ups and get lost in busy scenes.
  • Describe the sound in the prompt: “meows”, “purrs”, “a spoon clatters to the floor”.
  • Turn on the platform's AI label for realistic videos; don't mislead viewers.
  • For a series, save the same cat as a character and reuse it in every video.

Animal welfare and realistic videos

Don't generate videos where a cat is hurt, in danger or being frightened. Don't share AI-made “rescue” or accident videos as if they were real events; platforms may remove such content and require realistic AI content to be labeled.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make AI cat videos?
Open Video Studio, describe the cat, the place and the event in one sentence, pick a vertical aspect ratio and an audio engine, and generate. You can also upload a photo of your own cat as the first frame. Tap any prompt on this page and the settings come pre-filled.
Can I make AI cat videos for free?
The welcome credits for new accounts cover short cat videos on the economy engines; those videos are watermarked. Prompts on this page that fit the welcome credits are marked.
Can I make a cat talk?
You can describe a cat talking like a person in the prompt, and audio engines will generate sound, but mouth movement and the words aren't always consistent. For more control, generate the video silent and add the speech afterwards with the voice-over tool.
How do I write a cat prompt?
Describe the cat (color, breed, size), the place, the event and the cat's reaction, in that order, then add light and sound. Example: “An orange cat on a kitchen counter stares in shock at a falling spoon, the clatter of the spoon.” Pick the camera move as a preset.
Can I make a video from a photo of my own cat?
Yes. Upload the photo as the first frame and ask for small movements like turning the head, blinking or swishing the tail. With big movements the model may invent the parts of the cat it cannot see.
Which engine makes the best cat videos?
Veo 3.1 for realistic fur and sound, Kling 3 for scenes with lots of motion, and Hailuo 3 Max for animated and fantasy scenes are good places to start. Seedance 2.0 Fast is enough for cheap tests.
Can I post the cat videos on YouTube and TikTok?
Yes. Videos made with purchased credits are watermark-free and cleared for commercial use. Use the platforms' AI content labels on realistic AI videos.
Do the videos include cat sounds?
Yes. Veo 3.1, Seedance, Kling, Wan and Hailuo generate video with audio: meows, purring and ambient sound come with the picture. Grok Imagine and Runway Gen-4.5 are silent.
