Is Sora 2 shutting down? How to do the same work on Ryna

This engine is no longer available on Ryna. Provider shutdown date: September 24, 2026. Alternatives: Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.5, Kling 3.0.

OpenAI shut down the Sora app on April 26, 2026; the Sora 2 API is scheduled to end on September 24, 2026. Ryna AI Video Studio no longer offers Sora 2 Pro; for the long takes, crowds and continuity Sora was good at, Veo 3.1 (audio and 4K), Seedance 2.5 (single takes up to 30 s) and Kling 3.0 (motion and lip sync) are ready. Same prompt, same credit balance.

Best for

  • Running Sora prompts on Veo 3.1 at 1080p/4K with audio
  • Single takes beyond 20 seconds on Seedance 2.5 (30 s)
  • Speaking characters and motion on Kling 3.0
  • Auto routing: let Ryna pick the engine

Strengths

  • All three alternatives generate audio from the prompt
  • 4K on Veo 3.1 and Seedance 2.0
  • First + last frame and video extension support
  • Cheaper per credit: Seedance 2.5 720p ≈ 14 cr/s versus Sora 1080p at 30 cr/s

Limits

  • Old gallery recipes pinned to Sora fall back to the default engine on remix
  • Full Veo 3.1 is premium: purchased credits only
  • Your existing Sora 2 Pro outputs stay in your library

How to use it

  1. 1.Open the studio and keep Auto, or pick Veo 3.1.
  2. 2.Paste your Sora prompt as is; set 8 s (Veo) or up to 30 s (Seedance 2.5).
  3. 3.Leave audio generation on; generate a separate music track in Music & voice if you need one.
  4. 4.Try Seedance 2.5 for long scenes and Kling 3.0 for talking characters.

Example prompts

“Dawn over the Bosphorus, a ferry passing, seagulls, wide angle, slow crane down, 16 seconds”
“Futuristic library, elevator rising between glass floors, warm tungsten light”
“Crowded market, steadicam gliding between stalls, midday light”

Frequently asked questions

Why is Sora 2 Pro missing?
OpenAI is discontinuing Sora: the app closed on April 26, 2026 and the API is scheduled to end on September 24, 2026. Ryna AI no longer offers an engine the provider is withdrawing, so its card was removed.
Which engine replaces Sora?
Veo 3.1 for cinematic work with audio, Seedance 2.5 for single takes beyond 20 seconds, Kling 3.0 for motion and lip sync. Auto picks one of them from your prompt.
What happens to videos I made with Sora?
They stay in your library; download, share, extend and edit keep working. Only re-running on the same engine is no longer possible.
